The Castanyera’s Play
A heartwarming autumn story that children act out and experience firsthand!
In this activity, kids become the stars of a theatrical performance based on the Catalan tradition of La Castanyada. Through the story, they will dress up as little animals preparing for winter and as the Castanyera herself, who gathers chestnuts and warms them by her brazier.
With a handmade mini theater, costumes, and props, the children will enjoy a magical, hands-on experience exploring autumn, falling leaves, and animal shelters.
